Vietnamese conglomerate eyes $70m from secondary London floatVietnam’s Stocks: Binh Duong Mineral, PV Trans, Phuc Tien Trade - Bloomberg

Hoang Anh Gia Lai has hired Indian investment bank Elara Capital to help the Vietnamese conglomerate raise as much as $70m (€50.9m) via a sale of global depositary receipts in London, a memo reveals.
The secondary listing of 19 million new shares at Vnd72,000 each, if successful, would make HAGL the first major Vietnamese firm to sell shares abroad.

Vietnam’s VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell 0.1 percent to 426.19 at the 11 a.m. local time close.

Binh Duong Mineral and Construction Joint-Stock Co. (KSB VN), a mining and building company that also produces construction materials and mineral water, advanced 4.7 percent to 55,500 dong, the biggest gain since July 15. The company, based in the southern province of Binh Duong, said 10-month net profit reached 108 billion dong ($5.5 million), or 112.2 percent of its target, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.

Construction Joint-Stock Co. No. 5 (SC5 VN), the Ho Chi Minh City-based builder known as SC5, fell 4.7 percent to 30,300 dong. Nguyen Thi Hanh Lien, one of the company’s major shareholders, plans to cut her stake to 4.98 percent from 5.68 percent from Nov. 23 to Nov. 30, according to a filing with the bourse.

PetroVietnam Transportation Corp. (PVT VN), or PV Trans, retreated 1.1 percent to 9,200 dong. The Ho Chi Minh City-based company reported a loss of 44.8 billion dong in the third quarter, compared with a profit of 14.3 billion dong in the same period last year, according to a company filing to the exchange. Its nine-month loss was 3.5 billion dong, it said in the statement on the bourse’s website.

Phuc Tien Trade & Manufacturing Joint-Stock Co. (PHT VN), which makes construction equipment, metal roofing and other steel products, dropped for the first time in four days, sliding 4.3 percent to 11,100 dong. Net income fell 17 percent to 5.3 billion dong in the first nine months, the company said in a statement to the bourse.

European music festival to take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
The sixth European Music Festival will be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 26 to December 4.
At a press conference in Hanoi on Nov. 17, Sean Doyle, Ambassador – Head of the European Union delegation in Vietnam, said the festival was part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of EU-Vietnam relations and an excellent example of important public diplomacy exchanges in the EU-Vietnam relationship.
The event, co-organised by the EU delegation in Vietnam and five EU member embassies, including Belgium, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, will feature 22 European musicians, embracing classical music, jazz, world music and pop. Several Vietnamese artists will also perform at the festival.
The European Music Festival is an annual activity originating from the Jazz Music Festival in 2005. In 2009, the festival received a warm response from the Vietnamese public with around 7,500 audience.

DETAIL ITINERARY :

Day 1 : Arrival Ho Chi Minh City

On arrival at Tan San Nhat Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This bustling metropolis, contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping area and sidewalk cafés. (If time permits) we stroll around the downtown to explore the different local ways of life and take part in welcome dinner at the local restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi Tunnel – Ho Chi Minh

Heading out of town we drive north to visit the head quarter of Cao Dai sect in Tay Ninh. This religion was founded in 1923 and now numbers over 2 million members. On arrival we see the ornate temple and attend the fantastic mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Afterwards we continue to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3 : Ho Chi Minh – Can Tho

The sightseeing tour acquaints us with some major sights of Ho Chi Minh City. We pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy on our way to the Reunification Palace. This famous edifice was the former residence of the President of Southern Vietnam until end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. We also visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum before ending up our morning agenda at the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale! We travel by roads through the rolling countryside to Can Tho, the largest town in the Mekong Delta. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho – Vinh Long – Ho Chi Minh

Upon leaving Can Tho we drive to Vinh Long and board a boat for an exciting excursion around the tributaries of the mighty Mekong River. As a highlight of the trip we visit the various fascinating local cottages industries including rice paper makers, bonsai nurseries as well as the vibrant floating market of Cai Be whose trading way is very interesting. After feasting on a huge lunch followed with many seasonal fruits at an orchard, we weave our way through the intricate network of canals that are the lifeblood of the Mekong Delta.

Day 5 : Ho Chi Minh – Dat Lat

The northbound journey begins as we depart Ho Chi Minh and pass through the many tea and coffee plantations to the hill station of Da Lat, sometimes known as the 'City of Eternal Spring'. The drive is long but views are fantastic. On arrival we can soak up the cool climate as much as we want by spending our time to wander around and catch our first glimpse of the town. The influence of the French is prevalent since Da Lat was founded as a hill retreat for the colonials to escape the oppressive heat of the coastal plains and the Mekong Delta. Day 6 : Da Lat - Nhatrang

An impressive way to start our day is a walk around the town. We then embark on a short drive past the charming pine hill to visit the summer residence of Vietnam's last Emperor Bao Dai, who was forced to abdicate in 1945, shortly after the end of the World War II. We follow this with a trip to the Lam Ty Ni Pagoda and the Hang Nga Guesthouse, well known as the Crazy House because of its bizarre architecture. The central market and the old rail station are also visited this morning before we travel by roads through the undulating terrains to the picturesque coastal town of Nha Trang. Along the way we make stopover at the scenic Ngoan Muc Pass and the Po Klong Jarai Cham Towers. These amazing structures represent an interesting culture and a colorful history of the Cham people. Day 8 : Nhatrang – Fly To Danang – Transfer to Hoi An

After early breakfast at the hotel. At 7:00am our dirver will pick you up and transfer to Nha Trang airport to catch flight (VN 334, at 8:35am) to Danang, arrive in Danang at 9:50am you will be met and driven a short distance to Hoi An which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. There are plenty to see in this tranquil and delightful town, some of which are the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tamky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda and the vibrant market. We visit these sights on an enchanting walking tour past many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets, and assembly halls which reflect the town's multi-cultural past.

Day 9 : Hoi An – Hue half day tour

The following destination of our trip is Hue, the last imperial capital of Vietnam. We drive north this morning, stopping en route to visit the sensational Marble Mountains, the China Beach and the Cham Museum in Danang. This interesting structure is home to Vietnam's largest collection of Cham treasures. The winding roads begin as we make our way up the spectacular Hai Van Pass. At the top of the pass we stop to admire a fantastic view north to Lang Co and south to Danang. Arriving in Hue we see the Imperial Citadel and the Purple Forbidden City. This royal residence was all but destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive, however it is still fascinating to walk among the ruins. Stay overnight in Hue.

Day 10 : Hue City tour

The beautiful riverside pagoda of Thien Mu which now becomes the symbol of Hue, and the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc are not to be missed. Continue to visit Literature temple, the first University in Vietnam in 16th century and History Museum. Day 17 : Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi

The capital of Vietnam from 968 AD to 1010 AD during the Dinh and early Le Dynasties is Hoa Lu, which however has left its legacy in the form of two small temples, each one nearly a thousand years old. After two and half hour drive from Hanoi we visit these remaining structures, dedicated to the Dinh and Le Rulers, then climb 200 steps to the top of Ma Yen mount for a fantastic view over the surrounding areas. The next stop of our trip is Tam Coc which is surnamed 'Inland Halong Bay'. We take a boat trip on a river through the quiet and peaceful landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations to the grottoes of Tam Coc.

The 7 Days Vietnam Classic Tour will take you to the most well known tourist sites in Vietnam highlighting the historical sites in different cities: Hanoi 1000 Year Old Quarter, the beauty of Halong Bay's nature, the Old Royal City in 17th Century in Hue, the Ancient town in Hoian, and the busting and metropolis, excited by numerous shopping area and sidewalk café in Ho Chi Minh city.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi

Arrive at Noi Bai Airport. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Check-in registration.

Relax and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Transfer to Halong city for boat cruise on the Bay, stop on route to admire the landscape picture, you might take picture of buffalo boy. Embark on Paloma Junk, check in registration. Boat crew will greet you special seafood lunch while boat cruising around the bay to visit Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island, Sail island, Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach, and enjoy sunset. Have dinner on board with Vietnamese wine and overnight on boat.

Optional: Swimming at night you can have a chance to see phosphorescence.

Day 3: Halong - Hanoi - Hoi An (B/L)

After breakfast, you can relax on deck to enjoy the beauty of the bay, boat passing the most beauty of karst islets like Man’s head island, Tortoise island, visit Luon cave by small bamboo boat, Bai Tu Long bay. Have lunch on the boat return to Halong wharf for private car transfer back to Hanoi airport for flight to Da Nang. Upon 01 hour flight, our tour guide in Da Nang will greet you at airport and transfer to Hoi An town, the old port town from 16th to 18th centuries. Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences with tiny Japanese and Chinese house. Check into hotel. Explore the life style of Ancient town. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Hoi An Walking Tour - Hue City (B/L)

Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visit the Phuc Kien hall, Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky old house and the workshop of traditional occupation of Hoi An ancient town.

After lunch in one of the finest restaurant of Hoi An, drive a long cost to Hue, the Old Royal city in the 17th century of Vietnam, passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Arrival in Hue. Visit Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba Market. Overnight in Hue.

Day 5: Hue City Tour - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)

Breakfast at hotel. Take a boat trip along Huong river, visiting Thien Mu Pagoda. Transfer to Phu Bai airport. Depart Hue by VN251 for Ho Chi Minh city. Upon arrival, pick up at airport and transferring to visit China town, Thien Hau Pagoda, History Museum and former Presidential Palace. Make photo stops at the famous tourist sites such as Notre Dame Church, and Central Post Office. Dinner and accommodation at hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 6: Mighty Mekong Delta (B/L)

Heading out of the town, we travel by road to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's largest rice bowl. On arrival in My Tho, we embark on a boat navigating around the intricate small canals in the delta region, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. The exciting excursion will pass the lush green vegetation before arriving at the famous Unicorn Island. Here we have opportunities to stroll around an orchard, taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy wonderful traditional music. The next stop of our trip is Ben Tre Province to visit some fascinating local industries. After feasting on a huge lunch we return to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping off along the way to see the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda and the Cho Lon, which is crammed with sacred temples and mysterious, narrow lanes. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure (B)

Free at leisure to explore the city or doing other things you are interested in until time transfer to airport for flight back home.

DAY 1: HANOI - ARRIVAL (D)
Welcome to Vietnam , transfer of 45 minutes to your hotel in town, (if it is still early then we can venture out for some culture shocks on a short walking tour in the Old Quarter of Hanoi - this is the way to get familiar with the people and the culture). Welcome dinner and water puppet show at night. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 2: HANOI – HALONG - HANOI (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Halong Bay (165 km east of Hanoi), listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them contain beautiful grottoes. Enjoy a relaxing 5-hour boat trip through Halong Bay, fresh Seafood lunch is prepared and served on board . Back Hanoi in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 3: HANOI - NOON FLIGHT TO HUE ( B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. Early check out your hotel. Visit Temple of Literature, 01 hour cyclo tour through the Old Quarter of Hanoi. We will depart Hanoi driving straight to the airport for boarding on noon flight to Hue, royal city of the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties. Meet at Hue airport and transfer to visit the Imperial Citadel. Hotel checks in and overnight in Hue.
DAY 4: HUE – DANANG - HOIAN (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, Boat trip to visit Thien Mu Pagoda then take a drive to visit the royal tomb Tu Duc & Khai Dinh Tombs, one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue, then have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, depart Hue for Hoi An (it takes approx 3,5 hours driving) passing by the Marble Mountain and take a photo stop here. Proceed to Hoi An and transfer to hotel for check in. Free night in Hoian.
DAY 5: HOIAN (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. Take a walk to discover Hoi An Ancient town, known by early Western merchants, Hoi An was one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. Hoi An has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets; the original structure of some of these streets is still virtually intact. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. We will visit Tan Ky and Phuc Kien houses, Japanese Covered Bridge in side the Hoi An town and also visit Hoi An market. Take a boat trip along Thu Bon River to see the local life along the both sides of the river before enjoying lunch at hotel in Hoi An .At leisure for the rest time. Overnight in Hoian.
DAY 6: HOIAN – DANANG – SAIGON (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Danang Airport and flight by morning flight to Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival transfer to downtown Ho Chi Minh for walking tour along the famous Dong Khoi street (formerly Rue Catinat), passing by the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral & central Post Office. After lunch at local restaurant, transfer to hotel for check in. In the afternoon, visit Cholon (China town) and Ben Thanh Market. Free at leisure.
DAY 7: SAIGON – CU CHI (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning drive to Cu Chi district (150 km), en route you will have the opportunity to visit local homes producing rice paper and rice wine. Visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. There are more than 200 km of underground tunnels, comprising a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh and have lunch in Ho Chi Minh. Afternoon visit President Place and War Museum and have shopping during the time. Night in Saigon.
DAY 8: SAIGON – TIEN GIANG – BEN TRE – CAN THO ( B/L/D)
At 08:00AM meet you at the hotel and drive to My Tho - the heart of Mekong Delta, famous for its vast rice fields and most beautiful landscapes. Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda en route and stop by the bank of Tien Giang River. Take a boat trip on Mekong River to Phoenix Island where local handicrafts and sweets from coconut are being produced. Enjoy fresh seasonal fruits and traditional life music and song performance. A short ride on a horse carriage to a typical local house to taste some homemade honey-tea. Proceed by small sampan boats through the small canals and side arms of the river to observe the daily life along the river banks with a stop and short leisurely walk at the Turtle Island. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before driving to Cantho. Overnight in CanTho.
DAY 9: CAN THO – SAIGON (B/L)
Boat trip to visit Cai Rang Floating market, you also have the opportunity to watch local villagers producing instant rice noodles , making boats and rice-husking. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh with lunch en route. Drop off at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh.
DAY 10: SAIGON – DEPARTURE (B)
Time at leisure until transferring to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for departure.
